It Worked!

Yesterday Dennis and I went through all of our baby clothes. It worked. When I got to all of Audrey's preemie clothes I could not believe how small they were. The crazy thing is our babies will probably be swimming in there preemie clothes for a little while. It hit me yesterday that Audrey is probably going to be my biggest baby at 6lbs 13oz. I am okay with that! I feel so grateful today for the blessing of two babies. I feel that Heavenly father knows I can handle two babies. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning and I get another ultrasound. I am going to like getting an ultrasound every time. I have decided to quit stressing. It is not doing me any good nor the babies so I just need to be happy and grateful that I get to have two babies at once.

Twin update

I have to say it is honestly taking awhile to set in that we are actually having twins. I NEVER NEVER thought I would have twins. I knew something was wrong when I was gaining weight WAY too fast. With Audrey I lost 10 pounds in the first trimester but still I knew something was up. Dennis and I joked a couple nights before I went in to the doctors about having twins. He said if we had twins it was my fault.
When I had my ultrasound the tech just started laughing. I saw two black sacs and knew something was wrong. She laughed even harder. She then got it in the screen where I could see two heart beats. I then asked if that is two babies or what? Laughing she said yep its two! Congratulations. I was in serious shock.

When Dennis called to see how my appointment was going I kept saying fine but he knew better, he kept asking and I kept saying everything was fine. There was no way I could tell him over the phone. So I showed up where he was working. He was on a lift so I held up the ultrasound and without me saying anything he made a two sign on his hand. He did not say anything or even move so I got in my car and had my first breakdown. I thought he was not coming so I was going to head home. luckily he came down and gave me a hug but did not say much.

I have decided to make a list of the Good with twins and try and concentrate on that....

1 pregnancy and I get two babies
I am done being pregnant after this
Audrey can have her very own baby to hold a lot more often than she is going to want to!
Having twins will be an experience like no other
I have twin sisters so at least I am a little prepared.

Some things that scare me right now
I have gained 7 pounds and I am only 8 weeks.
We now have to buy two of everything.
When both babies are crying who do you tend to first?
With nursing both babies how do you get any sleep?
Anytime Audrey gets near a crying baby she covers her ears and starts yelling for someone to make the baby stop crying.... (Oh Man)

I think I need to get Audreys baby clothes out and maybe that will help my mood.

Right now I am so tired and sick, I am throwing up but not like Audrey. I am really mean though I am trying not to be. Dennis is the one that gets most of my mean streak. Sorry hun. I already feel huge and worry about gaining as much weight as I am suppose to with twins. The Doctor said he would like to see me gain 50 pounds! Yikes. I tend to get happy about having two babies until I think about the financial side of things.....

Happy Birthday Audrey!

I can't believe Audrey is 4! Wow four years has gone by so fast. We had Audrey's party at the bounce house here in Rexburg. She invited all of her little buddies jumped their hearts out, had pizza, ate cupcakes, and opened presents. Audrey is one of the silliest little girls I know. She is constantly pretending to be a cat, loves loves loves to play outside any chance she gets, knows how to put a smile on anyones face, and is so happy. She has also gotten a little sassy, likes to argue with what you have to say even if she agrees with you she loves a good argument. Audrey got a few dress up clothes this year for her birthday. I will have to post a photo of this later. She is always in her princess outfits. We got her a bike this year. It is a little big but she loves it and will grow into it soon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Audrey we love you, Mom and Dad

I can't believe I am going to have twins. I have twin sisters so I thought I was safe. It is suppose to skip a generation. I guess I am an exception to the rule!

Audrey has something she wants to share....

I was going to wait a little longer to share the news but I can't hold it in any longer. If you can't tell Audrey is so excited to be a big sister. She has so many plans for her brother or sister. Last night she went through her books and put some in the baby's room.

I am also very excited! I am due December 28th. I have not thrown up once yet which is a miracle. With Audrey I threw up at least 40 times a day and was in and out of the hospital my entire pregnancy. I feel very tired and I am kind of mean right now. It's true just ask Dennis he will tell you. I feel bad for being so mean and short but I can't help myself. Hopefully the mean streak go away quickly!

Our little adventures of the last month

It has been way too long since I posted a real blog… There has been so much that has happened in the last month. It is almost overwhelming to catch up. I have procrastinated long enough though so lets see how much I can remember….\

First~ At the beginning of last month (I know I know) I got sick, really sick. I first thought it was the flu. I exercised hard that morning and so I thought the cramping was my muscles sore. By the end of the evening I was so sick that I decided it was time to head to the Emergency room. After the 5th dose of morphine I finally felt some relief. They discovered that I had a cyst on my ovary that was the size of an Orange that exploded. It was seriously on of the most painful nights of my life.

I spent the night in the hospital so they could observe me. I was supposed to start my job that day, as well as take my midterms. This sickness could not have come at a better time. I was so worried that I would not be able to keep my job, and get behind in my classes. There was over 600 people who were interviewed so replacing me would be no big deal. Luckily I was feeling better and I went to work the next day. During the next week I completed training.

Second~ I had a check-up appointment that I put off so I could finish my training. Every time I had to call and reschedule I got a small lecture about how important it was to get in. It was not until my teacher explained to me the side effects of a cyst that was a large as I had had. I had another cyst on my other Ovary that I was supposed to go in and get checked out. It was a little smaller than the other. When I was in the hospital they took measurements to see the size and wanted to see how much it would grow in a week. So long story short one night I started having the same pain again. I prayed and prayed that I could make it until the morning to go to the doctor and avoid the Emergency room. When I went in the cyst was still there and it had grown ½ cm in a week! So I found out that I was having surgery in the next two hours. I feel SO much better now! I also know that these stupid cysts are starting to grow back. I was told it was time to get my children here NOW, no more waiting; so they could take care of the problem once and for all… Removing the Ovaries… I am not sure what I think about going through menopause in my early 30’s so for now I am not going to think about it!

Third~ on a happier note we bought a car! We got a 2002 Volkswagen Passat. I have always wanted one of these cars. I love it! One of my favorite features is the heated seat. This is so nice when I get off work and my back is aching. This is not the actual picture I still need to bust out our camera and take a few shots.. It has a sunroof, heated seats, leather 8 air bags which makes me feel better, and it is so roomy for a car.

Fourth~ I got a job! I love working at the Olive Garden. It is one of my favorite places to work. I quickly learned two things; One: a server makes way less than minimum wage, Two: You really can make good money as a server. I had no idea how much money you can make if you work hard. Another perk is I get to work with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. This has been a huge blessing for me. This company is amazing. I don’t think I will quit until I graduate. Even then I may not quit. Well see I am still new.

Fifth~ One night at work my father-in-law showed up. I was beyond excited. It made my night. While in Rexburg we do not see family that often. It was such a nice surprise. I know it was a short visit but thanks for the Visit.

Sixth~ I told you it was a busy month. Dennis and I finished school today! I am so excited to have a break for a couple of weeks. Lets just say I was beyond excited to return our books!

Where to begin....

I really have no idea where to begin to catch up. I am so far behind on my blog. Oh well maybe tomorrow. Right now I need some sleep.
