Belly Shot 21 Weeks

Don't mind the yellow picture. We need to buy a camera. It's on the list of things to purchase!

I really did not want to take this picture. However, I wish I had more pictures when I was pregnant with Audrey so here it is. I am currently 21 weeks

My goal is to make it to 36 weeks. My doctor said if I can make it to 34 weeks he will be happy but I need to have 36 weeks in my head.... I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is starting to go.

I have been feeling GREAT!!! (knock on wood) These boys are very active. It is hard to sleep on my side because a baby will start kicking like crazy. When I roll over the the other side the other does the same. I guess this is getting back into the habit of no sleep.

I have gained 16 pounds so far. I have a long way to go but I hope I don't gain too much wait.

As far as names goes I have a few that I like but we are defiantly not set on any names yet. I like Brody Dennis likes Justin and Blake. Names are so hard.

Friends

Well we have made the move back to Washington.

There was multiple factors that went into this decision.

Dennis has decided to switch his major. His plan was to major in Chiropractic but with twins on the way and knowing he has at least 7 more years of schooling left he decided to change his major. With his new major he can start working faster and continue schooling as he gets experience in the field. He will now be going into Radiology. He can eventually work his way into a Doctorate degree.

With twins on the way it will be nice to be near so much family. Our entire family lives in Washington. My parents moved a few years ago to Idaho so we will be away from them. It is hard to be away from my parents but I am grateful for all of our other family!

On a sad note Audrey had so many friends that she LOVED playing with on a daily basis. I have left many friends as well. This has been a hard adjustment for both of us. Luckily we live next to some cousins which has been nice but it is not the same as opening the door and letting her play outside all day long. We will have to plan a visit soon!

It is hard leaving an area that we loved. Who knows where we will end up one day. Dennis and I have moved 7 times in the last 5 years.
These are the friends that Audrey left behind. We miss you guys!

So freaking good!

Yesterday I turned 26. I can't believe I am 26. It seems like life is going by so fast. Yesterday was a relaxing day. I really did a bunch of nothing and it was really nice. We went out to dinner with Jen and Jeff at the Melting Pot. The entire night Dennis kept saying This is so freaking good! and he was right. The Melting Pot is by far one of my favorite restaurants. You start with a yummy cheese fondue, then you have a choice of 4 yummy salads, followed by the meat course (pictured below you can see it is missing some meat already. There was no waiting) and we finished with some tasty dessert.

100% Sure...

I have thought all along that I would have one girl and one boy. I was sure this is what they were and if for some reason they were not one of each then it was defiantly girls. At 16 weeks the ultrasound tech was positive Baby A was a boy and pretty sure Baby B was a boy as well. I thought things would change for sure. I had another ultrasound yesterday and I will let you be the judge

Baby A
I thought a face shot would be nice as well.

Baby B

Yeah it is pretty obvious we are having two boys! We are excited but I have to be honest and say we were hoping for a little girl. I get excited thinking about all the things they will get to do together. Audrey is excited. She was also hoping for a sister as well but is okay with two boys and being the only princess. We have no idea on names. Names are so hard Especially when you have to come up with two of them.

I met my new doctor yesterday and I feel so much better now. My first apt took me 4 hours! (Thanks for watching Audrey Jaime!) They were more than thorough. I really did not have to wait that long during those 4 hours maybe 20 minutes total which was great. The doctor informed me of what to expect with twins. Here are some things that I learned.

~If one of the babies water breaks before 34 weeks they will stick me in the hospital and wait until I hit 34 weeks as long as the baby can tolerate it.

~ The babies are in separate sacs and have their own placenta which is great except that one baby can steal all the nourishment from the other baby so they will take the babies early if this happens.

~ With the problems that I have had so far during the pregnancy, the doctor expects me to deliver around 34 weeks He said he would be shocked if I made it to 36 weeks.

~ As long as Baby A stays head down I can deliver normally. They can deliver the second baby breech.

I won't bore you with any more details!

Here is a photo of my belly
Okay just kidding but this is how the babies are laying. The coolest thing is I have baby A's head on my bladder as well as baby B's feet on my bladder. I will get a photo of my belly soon. I am 20 weeks and I am measuring at 26 weeks! Crazy Hopefully I do not get to big!

I am so glad that week is OVER!!!

WARNING: THIS IS A REALLY LONG POST
(I just want the twins to read this one day and realize what they put their mom through)

Thursday July 1st ~
I started feeling really sick. I always feel sick but I knew something was wrong. I tried to pretend like nothing was wrong and it would eventually go away but it did not.

Friday~

I gave in and finally called my doctor. I feel so guilty calling because I do not want to be that annoying patient who is always in the doctor’s office. They doctors office sent me home with an IV. Dennis was a trooper and helped me out with this one. I never thought I would hang an IV bag from our curtain rod.

Saturday~

When I woke up in the morning I still did not feel that I great. I had Dennis take the IV out anyways. I was determined not to let this ruin our weekend. There is a huge firework show that takes place in Idaho Falls and I REALLY wanted to go. We were supposed to meet up with our friends and have appetizers from Outback while we waited for the fireworks. By 5pm I knew there was no way I was going to make it. I was so sad, Dennis was sad but luckily for Audrey we have some amazing friends who took her to the firework show so she would not miss out. I went to the ER and within 15 minutes I had a new IV in place and knew I was not going home. I was devastated. I felt so terrible for Dennis. He was looking forward to the fireworks, hanging out with friends and getting out of the house finally. Sorry babe.

Sunday~

Rexburg is 95% Mormons and it was July 4th I knew nothing was going to be done this day. I did get a chance to meet with the doctor and he informs me that they want to do a scope on me to see what was going on. This was dangerous for the babies but he thought it needed to be done. My blood pressure was getting low, I was still throwing up with an IV and lets just say I had other issues.

Monday~

I am ready to get this scope over with to figure out what is going on. However, after the doctor talked with the surgeon they decide to hold off. They were running a bunch of tests and they wanted to wait for the results to see if they came back with anything before performing the procedure.

Tuesday~

I FINALLY get to eat some food. The doctor and Surgeon got the tests back and they found nothing so they were going to go ahead with the scope. They let me go home. My mom came down to help and it was a huge blessing. She was great support, and comfort. The doctor scheduled the procedure for Thursday. I deal was I had to come back on Wednesday for an IV and then come back on Thursday.

Wednesday~

I got my 9th poke 5 of which were IV’s. My arms were so sore and I was running out of places for an IV. Luckily my doctor gave me some numbing cream so before I went in I numbed the last spot I had for an IV. The nurse was great and she let me leave the IV in for the procedure the next day.

Thursday~

I had the procedure done. While the nurses were getting me all set up, my IV was running really slow. The nurse thought she was going to have to do a new IV. She looked at my hands and saw that I really did not have a spot for a new IV so they but a pressure bag around the IV, which did the trick. I was so relieved. I think I was more nervous about another IV than I was having a procedure done that was risky.

Whew that was a long week. They got the results back and have no idea what is wrong with me. What a comforting feeling. I am not allowed to work anymore which is a blessing. Audrey is so excited. I found a great High Risk Doctor in Washington and I am excited to see what they are going to do with me

Though this week was more than a challenge I came out feeling so blessed. I am so blessed to have such great friends who took care of Audrey for me. Dennis was Dennis what can I say. He brought me movies, spent hours and hours at the hospital with me even though I know he was bored out of his mind, Brian and Dennis were able to give me a blessing, The Relief Society brought meals over, My mom was here to help out with Audrey and give me the comfort and support only a mom can give, and even though my family lives in Washington there was many prayers said.

I am so glad that week is over. I am ready to be done… Yeah I know I have awhile until I am done but seriously I wish I could fast forward a couple of months and meet this two little babies.

In the Eye of Audrey

At school yesterday Audrey drew a picture of mom. I have never seen her draw anything other than stick people until yesterday. She had a conversation with her teacher that her mom was fat and she needed to draw a big belly. Audrey happened to leave the part out that her mom is pregnant with twins. Honestly her picture represents how I feel. Gotta love kids.
