Meet Miss Sassy

This is the new face Halle likes to sport. At the moment its kinda funny. If she does not get what she wants this is the look I get. She even gives this face to other people if they try to hold her or pick her up. The funniest thing about this face is how she will be smiling and laughing and then all of a sudden this is what she does. Oh man I think we are in trouble with this spoiled princess. I think a little sister is exactly what the doctor ordered to fix this tude. 

Jaime was watching her the other day and told her to smile.....

Too Hot

Being nine months pregnant lets just say I am not enjoying the July heat. It's just too hot for me. Luckily this is the only pregnancy during the summer. I am not sure how everyone else is pregnant during the summer and then chooses to be pregnant again.

The other day we hit 94 degrees. We had a normal day like usual. Before naps we played outside for an hour. When the boys woke up we went outside and played in the pool for a few hours. We sat in the shade to stay cool.

Unfortunately this was too hot for Taylor. He came in and laid down on the couch. I figured he was tired from playing outside and the heat. We took his temp and he was running a high fever. We tried really cold washcloths all over him. We put a fan blowing right on him. Finally we tried a cool bath but nothing was working. He seemed out of it. We decided we better take him to the clinic. When we got their it seemed like I was waiting forever to check in. The lady  in front of me barely spopke any english.... Once the nurse saw Taylor going unconscious they got him straight back. He was not responding, not wanting to eat a popsicle, and his fever was climbing so they called an ambulance to  take him to the Hospital.

I felt so bad for him. I felt helpless. They strapped me to the board with Taylor. Poor medics had to life me and taylor into the ambulance.

 Poor kiddo. This picture makes me feel so bad for him... 

 When we got to the Hospital they asked me if this was normal behavior for Taylor. I know he is my kid but he does not look good at all.... 

After two bags of fluids (they normally only give two years olds one) he was feeling much better. I am so grateful he is feeling better.

We will not be moving anywhere that gets extremely hot. Taylor and I can not handle the heat! Glad you are all better buddy! 

First Grade

Audrey attended Graham Elementary. Her teacher was Mrs. Christensen. Her teacher has taught for 30 years so I knew we were in for another fantastic year! She was in Room 8.

 At the beginning of the school year we were going over the welcome packet from her teacher Mrs. Christensen. She used the Green, Yellow, Orange, Red card system for the child's behavior. I told Audrey not to worry about it. I knew she was a good girl and her behavior would not be a problem. The first month we were on yellow and orange more than we would have liked. If you know Audrey at all she likes to talk... a lot! She made many new friends but missed many recesses as she had to stay inside because she was too busy talking to her new friends.

We also had to deal with boyfriend issues. Who would of thought this would even be an issue in first grade.... YIKES. I remember one day she came home and said a certain boy was mad at her and broke up with her I asked her why and she said it was because she had a couple of "boyfriends" and he did not like it.  This only lasted a week  until Dad put his foot down and said no "boyfriends".

In February Audrey received the core character award for acceptance. Her teacher said, "Audrey is a very kind person, always thoughtful, she never complains about who her partner is she just works well with them. She always tries to help her friend and always has a smile on her face everyday."

Here is Audrey with all of the Kindergarten, First and Second Graders who won an award for December, January and February. 

I was fortunate enough to go into Audrey's class and volunteer. It was fun to see Audrey at school. I loved watching the children learn. In June we went to the Children's museum. It was a blast. There was so much to do. They even met with a "scientist" to conduct a little experiment. 

At the end of the year they had a talent show. Audrey wanted to sing and dance. I have tried uploading the video but  I am having issues. She sang party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. She was the only one who choose to sing a song. I was so proud of her. She had the kids waving their hands in the air. I am grateful I do not have to deal with shy issues.

Academically Audrey did amazing in the first Grade. At the beginning of the Year Audrey was reading 40wpm.(words per minute) The goal was to get to 70wpm by the end of the year. Audrey surpassed that goal and is reading 170wpm. She is currently reading at a 3rd grade level. She loves to read chapter books. I feel like she is too little to read chapter books. Her favorite subject was science and PE. 

Here's to another great year. Way to go Audrey we are proud of you!

Looks who Seven!!

I can't believe Audrey is already seven. My little baby girl is getting too big too fast. We did a huge party last year so this year was a little more low key. On Audrey's birthday she took cupcakes to school and then we went to Red Robin for dinner.

 When did my kiddos get so big....

Friday night Audrey got to have a sleepover with two of her friends from school. They watched a barbie movie, painted nails, had a fashion show, ate junk, and played with all of her new barbies. Audrey informed me she wants a sleepover everyear. However I am not sure this was less work than a party....  

Happy Birthday Audrey. We love you so much. You are a great big sister. You are always helping mom out, you are very smart, social, and a friend to everyone. Our family would not be complete without you! 

A Little Time Away

It has been way too long since Dennis and I got a little time away. We were going to go down to Oregon for the weekend but decided we really wanted to some sun. So we headed to Arizona and met up with our friends for a few days. It was so nice getting a break from the daily chores. It was a nice and relaxing vacation. However for some reason it decided to rain most of the time we were there...

 This was my first time to Arizona. The week before we left it was in the high 70's and the day after we left it was a nice sunny day. We two days of sunshine but it was really cold. So we ate our sorrows away. It was really fun eating out almost every meal. Arizona has so many restaurants and malls. I could not believe that place. We tried a bunch of restaurants that had high reviews online. Lets just say we never ate a bad meal. This was our cinnamon roll for breakfast one day. Look at all that frosting. 

We went to a really good BBQ place called Ruddys. It was really tasty and the atmosphere was awesome. I laughed when I compare these two pictures. The girls gladly posed for a picture while the guys just wanted to eat.... 

 Dennis and I both love Texas Roadhouse so this place was a must! It is so yummy every time! 

Fuddruckers has the best Hamburgers ever! If you are ever near by one stop and eat there. You will not be disappointed. 

 We played a round of Minature Golf and then hit the arcades for an hour. I felt like I was sixteen again. It was really fun. Everett is such a cute little boy! Tyrell is due in a few short weeks. I felt bad that we drug here everywhere but she never complained!!! 

When we first got to Arizona there was a scorpion hunt with a black light. However because of the rain and cold temperatures there was no luck.

I am so grateful I got to spend some time away with my hubby. It was really nice just hanging out in the pool, sleeping in, eating out all the time and not worry about dishes. Until next time.... 

Our Christmas Tree 2012

The Christmas tree has always been a big deal growing up as a child. We would go to a tree farm and walk around for hours as 5 children would fight over which tree was the best. Finally my mom would choose and one of the kids would go home pouting because they did not "win" while someone else was excited to have the perfect tree that they picked out. For the last three years we have gone to a lot to get a tree the first year we had just brought Brody and Taylor home from the NICU so going anywhere with them was out of the question. Last year the Twins had just turned one I was pregnant with Halle. This year Jeff got some trees that he was selling to help out the Boy Scouts. Sadly Dennis went by himself to get our tree this year. The tree is very pretty this year and it was very cheap!! However next year I VOW we will be going to the Christmas tree farm!!! 

I loved watching the excitement on the kiddos faces. I did not catch any pictures of Brody because he was too busy unplugging the lights behind the tree.....

I remember sitting in front of the tree as a kid just staring at it. I love how Audrey has the same excitement has her mother!

Brody and Taylor are TWO!!!

Brody and Taylor are TWO!! This past year seems to have gone by so quickly. It has been an eventful year with these boys! 

 These were supposed to be cupcakes. Don't worry I laughed at them too. Dennis even called them Mushrooms. I think next year I will trade Jaime some of my mad computer skills for some of her awesome baking skills. Lets be honest these do not even look like a cupcake....

 Taylor you are a sweet and loving boy. Right now you love to watch Mickey Mouse and Blues Clues. You love to play blocks with mom and dad. Wresting is your favorite thing in the whole world right now. You are thoughtful and caring of others. Happy Birthday little man! We love you so much!

 Brody you are the cutest stinker I know. You love to get into things you are not supposed too. You love to run around in just your diaper, You can get into trouble one minute and the next minute you are snuggling with your mommy! You LOVE dogs, waffles, and getting into Daddy's scripture case which is full of candy. Happy Birthday Brody! We Love you so much

 Brody loves anything musical. He will sing along to songs in the car. Dennis and I saw this guitar and knew you would love it. The look on your face makes me believe we were right!

 I love how the boys are starting to play together. It is really neat seeing you to become best of friends.

Happy Birthday Brody and Taylor. We love you too so much! I have learned so many things from you two this last year and even gone a little crazy!
