climbing before crawling...

Both Brody and Taylor have not crawled yet. They army crawl really fast, get up on all fours and rock but have not actually crawled. They just started pulling themselves up on furniture the other day. They are a little behind for their age. However they are right on track for their adjusted age. I have to adjust them back six weeks on everything because they came so early. This is only suppose to last the first year.

I usually have the stairs blocked off with a big bin. . They like to pull themselves up on the first step and then cry because they are stuck. Last night both boys went to bed just fine. I moved the bin after they were asleep. Brody decided to get up last night as he was not tired anymore. I forgot to put the bin back. When I was sitting on the couch I could hear brody but I could not see him...

He was climbing the stairs. When I found him he was already on the 4th stair....
Interesting that he can climb the stairs no problem, yet he can not crawl yet.

I don't even know where to begin....

I am so far behind on my blogging that I keep putting it off! I seriously do not even know where to begin. I guess the best part to start with is the biggest news of all.(No saving the best for last
around here!)

No this is not a joke. We have another baby on the way.... here are the answers to the questions you are probably asking yourself if you are done laughing that is..

Yes there is only one baby!

No we were not planning on having anymore children.. We were more than happy and content with three children. Lesson learned don't be content....

I am due February 14th. We will have 3 children under 15 months. Feel free to cry when you read this part.... Three kids under 15 months. I don't think there is anyway to prepare for this one.

Yes I was on birth control. Without getting too personal here. I have had cysts removed off of my ovaries. I was waiting until the boys were 6 months old to go in a see if I had new ones growing. If I did I was going to get everything taken out. If I did not have any cysts Dennis was going to have the "procedure" done. We got pregnant a week before the 6 month mark.

We all would like a girl. (Although Brody and Taylor can not talk and voice their opinion. I am sure if they could they would be the only two in the house hoping for a brother)

On with the rest of summer!

Audrey has loved her pool this summer. I am so glad we got her one. There has been no trips to the lake or beach this summer with two babies!

Audrey sure loves her daddy!

We took a trip to Mt. Rainier this summer. It was fun and the boys did great!
Not the best picture of taylor but it was the only one I got of both of them at the mountain.

We planted a garden..
This was the biggest Strawberry I have ever seen that was not for sale at the store. The green strawberry in the front was an average size strawberry to give you an idea of how big this sucker was. We got the plant from spooner farms...

The best thing in the whole garden. Peas....

Our Corn is doing awesome!

Who would have thought that I of all people would have planted a jalapeno pepper plant?

Our apple tree is huge. In fact it is so big that a huge branch brooke off the other day because it is too heavy with all of the apples.

Every night we go out and water the garden together. It is my favorite time of the day with dennis. We are not out there very long but I think it is safe to say the boys do not like this part of the day.

Well that is some of our summer adventures

Look who's 5!

Audrey turned 5 in May. I know I am terrible at blogging but there's just not enough time in a day.

Audrey was so excited for her birthday this year!!

Audrey had to cover her mouth so no one would see her wish. So cute!

Best part of the day: Tea party with mom!

I can't believe Audrey is 5. Where does the time go? I am really old enough to have a 5 year old? I love Audrey so much. I am so grateful and blessed to have Audrey in my life. She really is a good little girl. Audrey I hope you know how loved you are.

I asked Audrey a couple of questions and this is what she said:

Favorite Color: Pink and purple

Favorite food: Candy, I mean biscuits and Gravy.

Favorite friend: Sydney

When You grow up you want to be: A doctor, singer, fighter (just the bad guys), not a mommy because there is too much crying with that job, a zoo keeper, movie star, but I really hope I can turn into a fairy

Favorite animal: Giraffe

Favorite Song: Big Green Tractor, Big green eyes, Party in the USA, You belong with me, I could go on forever mom but you know the good ones. (You are constantly signing around the house.)

Favorite thing to wear: Blue dress (mom can't wait to burn this... I mean)

Favorite thing to dress up as: Fairy

Do you like any boys? a boy who is a handsome prince at LA fitness.

If could change one rule that your family has, what would you change? no more help cleaning.

Favorite place in the whole world: "You know already Grandma Harmon's I mean Grandma Coatney's oh and Sydney ok just all of those."

Why do think the sky is blue: "I don't know um because Jesus picked it that way"

How do you think Peanut butter is made: "Easy, they take all the bad peanut butter and sell it at the store"

What does daddy do at work: "build fences, dog cages, houses, works out in the rain, and thats what he does"

Why do you think you have to a bath? "Duh so I am clean"

Growing like weeds

Audrey in moms tub. When the babies cry a lot during the day this is where you can find Audrey. Relaxing in the tub. Smart girl.

So cute! I just love that smile.

I got you!

Taylor That smile melts my heart.

Brody

Taylor and Brody

Brody

Brody and Taylor sure have grown. I can't believe they are almost 6 months. Yesterday the boys decided they did not want to take naps so we had fun instead! Brody and Taylor have a few similarities but a lot of differences. Taylor is laid back, Brody knows what he wants when he wants it. It is fun to see there personalities come out. I know these two are going to be best of friends. Whenever I set them next to each other they instantly find each others hand. Audrey is a great help. She loves her brothers so much.

Brody has been blowing spit bubbles for the past two weeks. His latest thing is growling. When you are doing something he does not like he will growl at you. Kinda funny. Yesterday he rolled from his back to his tummy! This little man has a strong will.

Taylor is such a sweet baby. He has a toy in his crib that he LOVES. When he wakes up in the morning he instantly looks for it and gets a huge smile on his face. He loves to "fly" with daddy.

Audrey~ has been a HUGE help. I don't know what I would do without her! She will try and comfort the babies if they start crying. One funny thing right now is if a baby has sat on the couch she will not sit there. She hates having a baby blanket touch her. Audrey does not want to smell like a baby. So funny. Audrey has been taking swim lessons at the YMCA. She is doing awesome and loves her teacher. She has turn into a little fish.

I am back to school for yet another semester. We get to go to Idaho in a couple of days and I can not wait. I am so excited for a break! As for Dennis, who's that? Seriously I feel like I never see my husband anymore. He is working like crazy. I was so spoiled this winter and I am having a hard time adjusting to him gone all the time.

Can you believe she is going to be 5 in a few weeks....

I can't believe Audrey is going to be five in a few weeks, 20 days to be exact. I am having such a hard time with 5. I don't know why. I guess it makes me face reality of how old I am really getting. I can't believe she will start he long journey of school. Although if you ask her she thinks she is done because she already went to preschool.

Grateful

I am so grateful for my life. I know my blog is a roller coaster of emotions at times. After getting a good cry out I was able to stop and really look at my life. I am so blessed to have 3 children who love me. 3 children who are healthy, I am so grateful for my husband. It is impossible to explain my love for Dennis. Everyday I reminded how much he loves me and our children. It has rained for 33 days straight. By rain I mean pouring down rain all day. Dennis never complains just gets up and goes to work and comes home in a good mood. I have so much to learn from this man. I have family who love and care for me. I am so grateful for the roof over my head, I'm grateful for my life, I know life seems crazy right now but one day I will miss this. I am grateful for gospel. Having the gospel in my life really puts things into perspective. I am grateful for 2 little smiles that greet me no later than 6am everyday. I am grateful for Audrey and I know that we are and will always be best friends just like I am with my mom. I am thankful for my imperfect body right now that will one day go back to the shape I like. Life is hard and challenging but that is the whole reason we are here on earth to be tried and tested. I am grateful for my life. I know I blessed beyond measure.

The dreaded post

Today is one of those days I wonder WHY me? Why did God decide it was a good idea to give me twins???? I love both of my boys and would not change it but I need to vent I guess. Chances are the post will be deleted before anyone reads it.

Having twins is so hard. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. It actually annoys me now when people say "oh I wanted twins". I think to myself, Do you though? Have you ever stopped and really thought about it? There is more than dressing to babies up and getting stopped every where you go (This is actually frustrating now) When I go into a store I only have a few minutes before one starts to cry I am on a strict schedule and I don't have time. (see I told you I needed to vent)

I feel like my life revolves around crying. When I get one soothed and to bed the other one starts in. There is no break from crying in our house. Audrey was hanging on the babysitters leg tonight begging to go to her house where there is no crying babies. If I was a kid I would be doing the same thing.

I missed a baby shower tonight because of babies. I wanted to go but I have been hopelessly trying to get the babies on a schedule and I knew that it would throw things off. I though oh I will put them to bed at 7 and Audrey can go to be ay 8 and then I can have some time to myself. hahaha what was I thinking seriously. They are both screaming as I type this. (Don't worry they are on my bed right behind me. It does not matter if I hold them or not they just scream. So I will vent and listen to the only sound that is heard in our house as I vent.

The only way I can describe twins is think of a regular baby and how much attention and work they are and then double that and you have twins. It takes me twice as long to do baths, diaper changes, feedings, making bottles, etc you get the idea. I had this crazy idea that I would have tons of help for awhile. I am not sure what I was thinking here. I did receive help for the first month but everyone has their own crazy busy schedule.

To top everything off I thought it would be a great idea to tackle school right now on top of having twins. Yeah I know I'm crazy. My days don't stop there is always something that needed to be done 10 minutes ago..... oh well what do ya do?

Oh yeah and then their is this sweet little girl who is neglected more than any kid I know right now. She has a great attitude 98% of the time and is always willing to help. She wants me to play with her the second both babies go to sleep. So I feel beyond guilty when I just want to sit down for 5 minutes.

Ok I feel better now.

Really I do

Thanks for listening. (reading this but hey all of my girlfriends read this so I just vented to everyone at once)
